Currently obsessing over:
Kendra Scott “Darby,” oval ring (from Nordstrom)
In the meantime, I just adore my new KS ‘Darby’ oval stone statement ring ($58). I got it in “chalcedony,” and have already received multiple “oohs,” “ahhs,” and compliments over this piece. It’s certainly not your average cocktail ring – it’s large and in charge, and insanely chic. If you want a killer ‘notice-me’ accessory, this piece is a great investment; it goes with almost anything, be it a cocktail dress, leather jacket or plain white knit.
Stay chic,
Annie
Kendra Scott Giveaway
I’ve mentioned my love for Kendra Scott jewelry a couple of times on my blog, but let me reiterate how much I adore her pieces. I was first introduced to the line back in 2010, but my passion for her bright, eye-catching, and beautiful statement jewelry has continued to grow. Her whimsical and feminine cuff bracelets are conversation pieces, and her chunky, collar necklaces with their bold color selection can dress up any basic white tee or black dress.
A Chic Critique is excited to announce a Kendra Scott giveaway – I’m giving away a brand new pair of Kendra’s “Danielle” earrings in turquoise (retail value $60).
This happens to be one of my favorite pairs of earrings; I can’t tell you how many compliments I get when I wear them! I was in Nordstrom shopping with a client the other day, and at least four sale associates mentioned how much they liked them.
“Worn by Hilary Duff on Access Hollywood Live and featured in People Style Watch, People Magazine and on The Today Show, the simple elegance of the Danielle earring is sure to please with its big bold pop of turquoise color!” – www.kendrascott.com

Penchant for Pendants
One of the accessory trends for fall is a long, drapey statement necklace. I’ve always liked the ‘draping’ effect that pendants have; your gaze is automatically drawn vertically. For this reason, elongated pendant necklaces have a way of tricking the eye, making it appear as if you stand a bit taller. Who know an accessory could be flattering?
Simple, yet conspicuous, these necklaces marry well with almost anything: a little black dress, trousers and a flirty top, or my favorite – jeans and a t-shirt. You need little else to compete when wearing one, so keep your other jewelry understated.

Whether you’re attracted to organic, geometric, or feminine designs, don’t afraid to be a little expressive. Accessories are always the way to showcase your individuality!
My picks:
Oh, just moderately obsessed with this Robert Cavalli goodie ($620).
House of Harlow Metal Fringe Necklace, $135
Kenneth Jay Lane Sapphire Prism Pendant Necklace, $88
Dannijo Court Necklace, $320
Kendra Scott Statement Pendant Necklace, $57.90
Want.
Theodora & Callum Byzantium Necklace, $350
If you’ve ever seen my jewelry collection, it’s obvious I have a thing for long, lean necklaces – and the bigger, the better. Bring on the pendant party.
Stay chic,
Annie
Haute Holiday Jewelry
“It’s the hap-happiest season of all…with those holiday greetings, and great happy meetings when friends come to call! It’s the hap-happiest season of all! There’ll be parties for hosting…marshmallows for roasting and caroling out in the snow…”
It’s that “most wonderful” time of year, indeed – festive fetes, parties galore, caroling, mistletoe, spiked eggnog, and holiday get-togethers alike. I’ll admit: I’m one of those people who starts listening to Christmas music prematurely (I’m a sucker for Bing Crosby, Harry Connick, Jr., Etta, & good ole’ Frank, in particular). I’m also quite a lover of any reason to get dolled up and don a quintessential cocktail dress – topped off & perfectly accessorized with a jeweled cuff and a sparkly, ornate, over-sized ring.
I’m a firm believer that a woman can never own enough cocktail jewelry – what better way to reinvent your little black dress from last year? A gold, pearl-encrusted cuff or a bold, rich pop of color on your finger can instantly transform and enliven any holiday ensemble.
My favorite “festive” accessories for the season:
Kendra Scott Adora Chandelier Earring in Midnight, $120 (glam & gorgeous)
Kendra Scott Novia Beaded Stud Earring in Champagne, $65 – Switch out your pearls for a chic, modern take on the classic stud. Perfect for a more conservative party, or perhaps a gift for your mother-in-law!
(Incentive: you receive a $20 OFF coupon when you sign up to receive Kendra Scott emails, so let the holiday shopping begin!)
Kenneth Jay Lane Domed Pave Ring, $275. Great for a New Year’s bang!
DANNIJO Lena Cuff, $480
J. Crew Miriam Haskell Pearl Cuff, $650 – Exquisite & stunning, this cuff would marry well with a black shift or cocktail dress.
Yves Saint Laurent, Chic Crystal Ring, $795 – Who said the Christmas palette should just be relegated to red & green?
Fenton/Fallon for Carrington J.Crew Crystal Bow Necklace, $295
Deck your arms with cuffs & jewels…fala-lala-la-lala-lala.
Stay chic,
Annie
obsessed: kendra scott
Lately, I have a slight obsession with Kendra Scott Jewelry.
Isn’t this pair of “Danielle” earrings just to die for? I love the oblong shape of the turquoise with the gold-plated rim detailing – so beautiful. At $60 (which is very reasonable, in my opinion), this style comes in an array of 12 colors (including cobalt, black & tigers eye) and are the perfect ‘drop’ of color for your ears.

The other pair I fell in love with recently is the “Nyla,” earring (in hot pink, of course).
After seeing the Nyla pair in InStyle (spread below) this month, it’s official: I’m a fan of Kendra Scott’s exquisite, feminine pieces.
See them here in the July issue of InStyle:
Keeping with the trend of bold and bright colors for summer, KS’s pieces are the perfect accessories to compliment your white jeans and going-out top, cocktail dress, or jeans & simple white tee.
If you know anything about me, I adore earrings (specifically, statement earrings – the bigger, the better!), so I can’t wait to add a Kendra Scott pair to my collection.
Stay chic,
Annie
Put a ring on it
One of my must-have accessories is a statement cocktail ring: the bigger, the better! Whether your style is feminine and classic, or edgy and urban, there is an impressive, eclectic array of rings to choose from this summer. I have a slight obsession with Alkemie Jewelry right now – l.o.v.i.n.g. this eco-friendly collection (favorites being this elephant cocktail ring & this Peace Dove). All of the jewelry is made from reclaimed metal – eco-chic!
Versatile and unexpected, these day-to-night cocktail rings are sophisticated, fun, and the perfect compliment to any outfit.
My picks:
Elizabeth & James Tiny Feather Ring, $55 (top left)
Gara Danielle Gold Druzy Ring, $144 (top right)
Gara Danielle Turquoise Ring, $89.60 (2nd row)
Kendra Scott Cocktail Ring, $75 (pictured right)
Stay chic,
